The People In My Neighborhood

If you’re like me, you grew up on Sesame Street. Mr. Hooper’s store and the front stoop of Maria’s apartment building were every bit as real and comforting as the local library and grade school. Maybe even more so.

I’ve grown up, but I’ve never outgrown my need for a sense of community and connection. I never will. I’m writing about it in my latest column for the Arizona Republic. I hope you’ll read and join in the conversation. http://www.azcentral.com/community/swvalley/articles/2012/09/24/20120924great-time-year-get-know-your-neighbors.html

  1. Rhonda,

FYI … your article requires setting up an account. Can’t point and click anymore.

    • I believe it’s the Republic’s new subscription service. Contractually I can’t post the entirety of the article on my blog but the Republic is supposed to allow individuals to view a certain number of articles without having to pay.
